You’ve got your TFLN, you’ve got your sexting, now here’s the meme for all those gen texts, phone calls, voicemails, pictures of your cats, and whatever else your little heart can come up with, because who doesn't like a little old fashioned friendly texting. (Or enemy texting, if that's more your bag.)

instructions: What it says on the tin! Leave a comment with your character, include preferences, a start, absolutely nothing or whatever you want. Run around and reply to others. Lather, rinse, repeat.

[ dal has never offered up an address or anything of the sort, so jun figures it's best to avoid even the suggestion of going to the chinese restaurant together sometime. just getting dal to pick up some and bring it to him seems like the safer option ]

Maybe you can pick some up for us some day and we can find a nice, quiet park to sit in and have it.

(( Dal genuinely appreciates the way Jun phrases that. He doesn’t like people knowing where he lives. That’s his refuge, his one place of sanctuary. It isn’t much, but it’s the place where he doesn’t have to be on all the time.

He specifically omitted the fact that he lives above said Chinese restaurant.

Keeping a firm hold on Jun’s hand, Dal lets his gaze wander to the shops and restaurants they pass as they walk. There’s no hiding the wonder on his face, even through the shy smile he offers to Jun when his eyes return to him. ))

I’d like that.

[ honestly, jun just assumes that he still doesn't know dal well enough to get his address. they're still building their friendship and perhaps they aren't yet at a stage in that where they're telling each other where they live. maybe they'll never get there and that's okay. not everyone is like jun. not everyone dislikes their own company and being alone with their own thoughts enough to invite a relative stranger into their home. sure, he hasn't invited dal over yet, but it has nothing to do with how well they do or don't know each other and everything to do with the fact that the opportunity simply hasn't presented itself ]

Great! You pick the day and the park and I'll be there.

I don’t know any parks.

(( Oh, he knew of Central Park, but that was about it. There weren’t any in his neighborhood and he never ventured outside of it. He was about to suggest Jun pick the park instead, when the delicious scent of Chinese food wafted out a door they passed. Dal stopped immediately, tugging Jun’s hand in the process. ))

Oh. Well that's fine. We can always look through some on my phone while we eat. Or just go to Central Park, but I figured we could go somewhere a little less busy.

he's a little taken by surprise when dal stops abruptly and he inhales deeply. oh that does smell good doesn't it? he glances up at the sign over the door. in case it's good, he'd like to know what it's called to be able to come back. or rather, to be able to bring dal back here ]

Sure, let's go have a look. And if, uh- [ need any help with the menu, let him know. but dal knows that already and jun doesn't exactly want to point out in a public setting that he has some trouble with reading so...

he gives dal's hand a gentle squeeze before he guides him over to the menu that's posted in the window ]

(( Dal nods in response both to the suggestion of looking for a park and the unspoken offer to help him with the menu. He recognizes a few names from the menu at his ‘regular’ place. Mostly the spicy dishes since those are the ones Dal likes best.

Standing before the glass, Dal leans forward, squinting to (try to) read the small print. They’ll be here for quite a while if Dal’s left to it. Rather than trying to read the whole thing, he scans it for the keyword he’ll recognize: curry.

He spots a whole section under the word and bounces eagerly on his feet. ))

They have it! Let’s go inside!
