THE ROOMMATES MEME

For whatever reason, you're living together. Maybe it's at college or university, maybe you're old friends who wanted to live together, maybe you just can't afford the rent and took the first person up on the offer to share, maybe you just want a Roommates AU and don’t want to think about it too hard - whichever reason it is, you're roommates.

Post a toplevel, the person who responds is now your character’s roommate! Have fun!

Some (Optional) Prompts:
1. Roommate interview: you’re not roommates yet, but you’re figuring out if you might be. Ask them if they’re a slob, work nights, throw parties, if they’re a scorpio, whatever helps you find out if you actually want them living with you.

2. Chores: It’s someone’s turn to do the dishes, or take out their laundry from the dryer, or clean the toilets. Have they done it? Have they never done it? Do they need a reminder? Or perhaps it’s just time to clean the place or figure out the chore wheel.

3. Bad Roommate: one of you has left a mess, hasn’t paid rent, plays loud music at one am, eats the other’s food, or something else that they’ve done that is driving the other up the wall.

4. Hanging Out: watching something on the couch together, cooking or eating together, having a pillow fight, gossiping about someone else - hey, you’re living together so you’re gonna spend some time together!

5. Something Has Gone Wrong: the power’s gone out, or the water, or the electricity, or all three. Or maybe the neighbours upstairs left the water running and your roof is leaking, or there’s mice, or even go horror movie and find out the place is haunted. Your landlord can’t, won’t or is taking far too much time to help you so you have to figure this out yourself.

6. Forced Roommates: You didn’t choose to be roommates, you were brought from another world (the Jamjar option) and/or the government (or whoever else is in charge of these things) has decided that you need a place to live and it’s with this other person specifically. No you can’t change roommates. You just have to find out whether or not you’ll get along on your own.

7. Party!: One or both of you is throwing a party! It can be a housewarming party, or someone’s birthday, a holiday, or maybe it’s just a friday and they wanted a party. Did the other roommate agree to it?

8. oh my god they were roommates: you’re roommates yes, and right now you’re just roommates, but is there something more there? Is one or both of you pining for the other? Or just figured out that maybe they have feelings? Something has happened to bring you closer together and you’ll have to figure out if you want to confess or not.
