sunday texting goes here.

Youโve got your TFLN, youโve got your sexting, now hereโs the meme for all those gen texts, phone calls, voicemails, pictures of your cats, and whatever else your little heart can come up with, because who doesn't like a little old fashioned friendly texting. (Or enemy texting, if that's more your bag.)
instructions: What it says on the tin! Leave a comment with your character, include preferences, a start, absolutely nothing or whatever you want. Run around and reply to others. Lather, rinse, repeat.

No. My other...mentor, I guess, he punched me in the face but it was a training simulation we used to use. I felt the pain, but it didn't really happen.
[ Sometimes when she explains the insane things that have happened since she ended up joining SHIELD, it sounds incredibly weird compared to some of the stories that she's gotten from him so far about what he's been up to at night on the streets as Daredevil. Reading about it over the years ( but not knowing it was him ) and seeing the kinds of things he takes care of out there, it makes sense why he's so used to working alone and why it's been an adjustment. ]
It works out better that way, so we can get used to moving with each other and then I can work up to using my powers around you. I doubt the earth shaking or shifting vibrations in the air helps much with the rest of your senses.

He punched you in the face? On purpose?
[ Look, he can understand getting an accidental hit in during a fight, or having too much momentum to stop a hit during sparring. But that sounded like on purpose. At least through text. And really happening or not, on purpose isn't okay in his book. ]
Yeah, I'm definitely going to have to learn how to tell when it's you or something else in the environment, so having some practice with your powers will help us fighting. Once we get into a normal rhythm first.

We were testing how real the simulation was while sparring, including if we'd actually feel pain from it. He wouldn't actually hit me like that if he knew it would hurt me.
[ That's not the worst of it, considering how the Framework went, what it continued to be in an alternate future, but that's a lot more than she's looking to get into right now. ]
I'll try not to make the earth shake in a fight until you're able to tell it's me and not a normal earthquake.

Mmhmm but on some level you didn't know and he still hit you. There are a million ways to test if something will hurt without punching your face though.
[ Can she hear the disapproval in his texts, because it's totally there. ]
I appreciate that. And we can slowly train into it. In the mean time, we may want a codeword so you can warn me when you're using it.

He wasn't trying to hurt me and we don't use that for training anymore, we spar the normal way like everyone else.
[ Given her relationship with Coulson - he's like a father figure and a mentor, even now that the Coulson running around is a copy of him with his memories uploaded instead of the man who pulled her from that van all that time ago - she's apt to defend him, even if she knows that Coulson is capable of doing things that can seem like a questionable call to make. This wasn't one of them in her opinion. ]
Won't that ruin the element of surprise when we're out in the field?
I guess I could say it quiet enough so that only you would hear it.

Mmmhmm.
[ It's less testing the system and how it works, and more her sparring partner choosing to punch her in the face he's disapproving of. To be fair. Which wasn't Coulson's decision. ]
Not if we pick one that has nothing to do with your powers or ducking or something obvious. In a way, if we make it weird enough, it may just confuse them further.
That might work too.

He wouldn't hurt me, then or now. He's the closest thing I have to a dad these days.
[ Explaining what happened to her dad, how he doesn't have a memory of her anymore, that's a conversation for a different day if she ever feels like divulging more about what her search for her parents brought up. ]
Think of a totally random word and that'll be our code. First thing that pops up in your head.
Then you'll know it's just a Daisy-powered earthquake instead of a normal one.

Alright, sorry. I just don't like the idea of you hurt for trial.
[ You can't fault him for wanting to keep her safe and whole, right? Though he would also like to know about her parents, that she found them, what happened with them. When she's ready. ]
Avocado?
Knowing that would be good, because I'll know to keep fighting verses trying to get to you to get us to safety.
[ And yes, there's totally a story behind avocado, if she were to ask. ]
