♥1 Greeting Hug
A quick, warm hug. It's your friendly way of saying hello to friends and family!

♥2 Big Bear Hug
Pull your partner in really, really, really close, put your arms completely around them, and squeeze tight.

♥3 The MAN Hug
The manliest of hugs, it is similar to the Big Bear Hug, however it also usually accompanied with fist bumping, and is often associated with winning a competition or in conjunction with any particularly cool or manly event

♥4 Ecstatic Jump-n-Hug
Run at your partner and jump into their arms with excitement!

♥5 Encouraging Hug
Pull your partner close and give them a gentle squeeze with a light pat on the back.

Put your arms lightly around your partner's shoulders and give a gentle squeeze.

A hug involving multiple people - family or friends - where you all put your arms around one another.

[It just feels so wrong seeing Stiles so sad. He just seemed so small and still and so unlike the vibrant person he normally was, it was making the wolf in Isaac twitchy and louder than usual.

Kneeling on the sofa next to Stiles, he leans forward slowing to butt his head gently against his shoulder.]

[ He flinches before he realises it's Isaac, and then his sorrowful expression shifts slightly, eyebrow lifting in curiosity and his mouth twisting as though he's about to ask him what he's doing.

The words don't come out though, so he just waits. ]

[He shuffles closer until his knees are pressed against Stiles' leg, then he butts his head against Stiles' shoulder again before ducking under Stiles' arm and wrapping his arms tightly around Stiles' middle and mumbling] I'm sorry you got hurt.

[ Oh.

Oh.

Stiles breathing catches for a moment, his arm settling around Isaac's shoulder unintentionally. He's not used to this. The pack are tactile, of course they are, they never leave each other's side. But he's not a part of it. Nobody touches him. Unless Derek is shoving him into a wall to prove a point at least. ] Hey, it's nothing.

[Good, that makes it easier to burrow into his side, because shut up Stiles, of course you counts as pack.

He growls very softly, nipping Stiles' shoulder gently] It wasn't nothing. You're hurt.

[ Something about that makes him laugh, the slightest tremour of his voice. ] I get hurt all the time. It's nothing new.

[That just makes him growl again a little and hug him more tightly and maybe when he walks he sounds a little bit like he's sulking] Well you shouldn't. We don't pay enough attention.

[ Slowly. ]

Dude. I'm human, remember? [ Dead weight. ] I'm gonna get a little bruised, but making sure I don't will only slow you guys down.

[ And the only alternative is not being pack anymore. ]

[He's going to head butt you again] Don't be thick, you're important.

[Careful you don't say that out loud, Isaac will think you don't love him ]

Yeah.

[ Yeah right. But he doesn't want to talk about it, breathes out and eyes up Isaac with a quiet air to him. ] Sometimes you act like a puppy. You know that, right?

[He's rolling his eyes at you right now] Whatever, you should really consider some new, non-dog related material.

No, but they're my best jokes, Lahey. Why would I want to do that? [ But he's smiling anyway. ]

[There are a lot of days where Scott doesn't show a single shred of self-awareness. Sometimes, he takes things too far. Other times, he throws a dart and it's an incredibly well-meaning one, but it doesn't quite hit the target. But still, he tries.

And then there are days like this one, when he looks over at Stiles, furrows his brow a bit, and realizes that maybe he hasn't hit enough targets. And that maybe, just maybe, Stiles has been hitting all the targets for him, while he hasn't gotten a lot in return.

Okay, and sure, some things were maybe not terrible. These things were incidental in the big picture. It was Stiles who stood by him. Maybe it was time that Scott yanked off his blinders and did the same in return.

Or, well, he'd try. If there's anything Scott does, it's that.]

Hey, you wanna—

[Bad opening. Scott pauses and thinks it through.]

You—you okay?

[Not quite connecting, but it works in his mind.]

I should ask you that more often.

I'm fine. [ He looks over at Scott with the slightest hint of confusion, stops wringing his bag strap nervously in his hands and physically pauses.

He's not. But he likes to pretend. ]

I'm okay, why? Shouldn't I be? Is there some big danger lurking round the corner? Are you okay? You're not dying on me, right?

No, no, I'm asking because of ... you? Yeah, you.

[Good going, Scott. Now he bets that Stiles is going to be extra suspicious, which is exactly the opposite of what he was originally going for with that. He almost feels like he's dealing with his mom when he's trying to get something out of her.

Only he isn't.

Actually, the fact that he can make that comparison ...

Anyway, Scott blinks and shrugs it off.]

I mean, you're not dying on me, right?

No-o? [ Pausing, bag dropping to the floor. ] I'm not dying. Do I smell like I'm dying? Are you werewolf sensing me?

[ Wide-eyed. Maybe he's a little out of it today, who knows? ]

No. No! You're not dying. You forgot to take a shower today, but that happens, that's nothing new.

[Accidentally ... creepy. He blinks and doesn't even try to make that sound any better.]

But if you were dying, you know I'd be there for you, right?

[ Ew. Gross. Does Scott know how he had to sneak off to the bathroom today for a stress reliever. Not cool. This is him trying to keep a straight, untroubled face. ]

Um. Sure? You would totally be there to hold my hand in a macho way. What's going on?

[Showers are one thing. There are some things you just don't want to tell your best friend you knew he did. That happens to be number one on the list, and Scott's been doing a swell job of it since that day he smelled that mint mojito gum in his pocket.]

Nothing, that's—that's actually the thing. I mean, it's good, you know?

[He shrugs. Wow, he's a lot better at this stuff when he's staring into Allison's eyes or ... trying to keep people alive.]

For now. I guess—I dragged you into a lot of this, it's my fault—so, I'm sorry.

[Okay, so Stiles dragged him into a lot of it in the first place and there was more than one occasion while Scott sat on the ground with his inhaler while Stiles' dad loomed over them about their recent mistake of the week and he wouldn't be a werewolf if one of those times hadn't gone horribly wrong, but—Scott didn't blame him. Doesn't blame him.]

[ He's just going back to staring at Scott like he's gone insane. Then, in a half whisper. ]

Did Derek hit you really, really hard? On the head? Is there a bump? [ Reaching for his skull because he will manhandle his best friend if he feels like it. ] Lemme see, I gotta know if I need to call your mom or something. It's totally puppy abuse. Derek should get sued.

[ Because this is weird.

You are weird, Scott. ]

[He bats his hands away.]

Derek didn't do anything! For once.

[Scott tilts his head off to the side at that, because ... well. Derek Does Things.]

Forget it. If you're not dying, which I could tell anyway, and you're cool. We're cool. No big deal. No brain damage.

[ Picking at the thread on his jeans. ] Are you going to tell me what's wrong?

[Scott's watches that. Where to take this ...]
