The Apology Meme

You've done something incredibly stupid. Maybe you've said the wrong thing. Maybe you broke something that wasn't yours. Or, maybe you broke a promise. Whatever the reason, you have to find a way to apologize to the person you hurt.

Rules:

1. Post with your character name, fandom and preferences.
2. People reply to you using RNG (or not) to pick an option from both lists.
3. Roleplay the apology and decide if the person can ever be forgiven.
4. Have fun!

The Reasons

01. Caught Lying - Maybe you thought they wouldn't find out, or maybe you thought they wouldn't care. Whatever the reason, the other person is now mad at you.

02. Caught Cheating - You had an affair and you loved found out. Or, maybe you cheated on a test or game.

03. Heat of the Moment - The two of you were fighting and some hurtful things were said. Now it's time to make amends.

04. Broke Something - Whether it was on purpose or on accident, you broke something belonging to the other person.

05. Snooping - You were caught snooping in the other person's stuff, or maybe even their email or phone.

06. Gossip - The other person told you a huge secret, and you blabbed it to anyone who would listen.

07. Wildcard - Pick your own scenario!

The Apologies

01. Letter/email/text - It's kind of cheap, but it's a start, right?

02. Phone Call - Maybe calling them is a food first step.

03. Flowers - Have them delivered to them, or take them there yourself.

04. A Gift - It can as small, or as big as you'd like.

05. A Surprise Weekend Away - Maybe getting away will solve the problem.

06. Makeup Sex - Maybe it won't solve all your problems, but it's fun!

07. Wildcard - Whatever you'd like.

[Gwen didn't know about Merlin's magic, so it wasn't his fault that he had to lie to her about meeting him somewhere. It was the only way to make sure that he didn't get caught by her. So now, after never showing up like he said, he was at her house's door. With flowers, that was the best way to make up for something right?

Well, he might as well try. With that, Gwen can hear a few knocks on her door.]

[Gwen had waited for Merlin for a long time. She had assumed that he'd been caught up with Arthur somewhere and didn't want to leave in case he thought the hadn't turned up to meet him. Of course after a while she just got too tired and headed home. Hearing a knock at the door she immediately walks to open it and raises an eyebrow slightly as she sees Merlin]

Merlin. So nice of you to show up. [Yes, there's a little but of annoyance in her voice there but then her eyes rest on the flowers and she can't help but smile a little] ...Come in.

[Oh good, she answered. Merlin couldn't help but think for a split second that she wouldn't. He takes the annoyance, and responds with a slight, apologetic smile.]

Gwen..! Uh, Arthur.. got me when I was about to head out. [Should he really be fixing this with another lie, probably not. It's not like Arthur was going to come by and go 'What now?' though. Besides, she couldn't stay mad at his ~~puppy~~ sorry face, right?]

[Of course she answered. She might be a little annoyed with him but she'll get over it...and she hadn't known he would be at the door when she opened it either. But that look on his face? Yeah, she never can resist it. When he walks inside she closes the door behind him before turning her attention back to him.]

Why am I not surprised it was something to do with Arthur. I knew you wouldn't not show up on purpose, Merlin. [Her smile brightens a little as she points to the flowers] Are those for me?

[Merlin can't help but feel a bit awkward coming in to Gwen's house and standing there.]

You know, Arthur.. [Oh yeah, the flowers!] Uh, yeah, I picked them for.. you.

Sit down Merlin. [She gestures towards her small table and chairs. Gwen can't help but laugh a little to herself as she notices his awkwardness. She's going to reach out and take the flowers off him. She needs to put them in some water, or they'll start to die Merlin!]

Yes, I do know Arthur. They're beautiful Merlin, you really didn't have to.

[Merlin will sit down like she said, along with allow her to take the flowers. Whoops, he'd forgotten all about that they need water. ]

He always finds some chore to give me. [Well, at least that was truth.] I wanted to make it up to you!

[ooc: Sorry for the late, I haven't been feeling too well lately]

[She puts them in some water and sets them on the middle of the table, they really are beautiful. She sits down opposite him and nods her head] Well, I do appreciate it.

I know how Arthur can be. He likes to give you plenty to do. What was it this time?

[ooc: no, no, no! It's completely fine.]

[oooh. He didn't of that. Time to improvise like usual!]

Cleaning his armor! Wanted to make sure there wasn't a touch of dirt on it.

[when was the last time he cleaned his armor?]

[Clean his armor? ...Well, she's not one to argue. Besides, why would Merlin lie about something like that.]

Sounds like something Arthur would make you do.

[A pause] So, what did you want to meet me for anyway? I hope it wasn't anything too important.

[Exactly! Merlin doesn't lie.

....... what he wanted to meet her for..?]

I was hoping to talk to you about... [uh] Morgana.

[No, of course he doesn't why would he ever lie to Gwen?

Oh right...

Gwen looks down a little at that and sighs]

I don't know what's going on with her lately Merlin. She hasn't been acting like herself. It must have something to do with all those nightmares she's been having.

[Exactly.

Oh good, the ploy worked.]

Yeah, it must be. Maybe we should try finding out why?

[It did Merlin, thankfully for you. At least for now.

Gwen nods, her eyes on Merlin's.]

I agree. She snapped at me the other day, I've never seen her so wound up before...

[Merlin will meet her eyes.]

We could try keeping a closer eye on her. See if she's doing anything weird. [It's not like Merlin already knows what's up, of course not.]

[ooc: Sorry again for the late. I was on vacation for a few days.]

[She worries her bottom lip a minute, contemplating that. She'll feel weird keeping a close eye on Morgana, her 'friend' but she knows that it's necessary if they're to know what's going on with her]

Yes. Yes, you're right we need to keep a close eye on her. I can do that, she shouldn't suspect anything if I do it...at least I hope not.

[ooc: Don't worry about it!]

[Does he really want to involve Gwen in this? She'll probably get so eventually and it's better if he's watching over her to make sure that she doesn't get into trouble.]

Alright, we could make sure that there's always at least someone with her.

[Seems like she's already involved or at least she will be very soon. Working so close to Morgana it was only a matter of time, wasn't it? She nods at that with a small smile]

That shouldn't be too difficult seeing as I'm usually with her anyway. I'll just go about as normal just...keeping a closer eye on her that's all.
