sure is cold in here ( the body heat meme )

Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
Or just completely ignore the guideline above and do your thing.
So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!
Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

They manage to make a small fire, to which Thorin will hang their things close enough to it to help dry them. While it is wet out, it's not cold, at least not during the day. When night comes that is a different story. Till then, the dwarf tries to be useful in making some sort of meal with the hobbit. A few hours later their things are some what dryer, but still soggy, but night has come now and the chill is setting in. Their fire will not last for longer and there is no more dry wood to use for it.]
We should rest.
[Thorin says the obvious, as really there is little else they can do now besides be cold and miserable. May as well try to sleep and be miserable. With their damp blankets and all. Thorin is stripped down from the bulk of his clothing, as it is drying, but has on his undershirt and pants, needing something at least.]
Hopefully the rain shall pass in the morn.

As safe as one could be in a cave at least.
The halfling was more than happy to give his own clothing a chance to dry, stripped down to just his pants and undershirt, much like Thorin was, settled close to the fire as he attempted to dry off as much as possible. It was easier said than done, unfortunately, and when the dwarf king spoke, Bilbo was still soaked through but less chilled. A glance towards the mouth of the cave caused him to shudder, well aware that it was only a matter of time before the cold set in and it pulled a sigh from him as he slowly began to unfold from his spot.]
Wet rest is better than no rest, I suppose.
[The hobbit stood, stretching some before attempting to figure out how to stay the warmest with his damp bedding materials.]
Yes, that would be extremely fortunate. I would much rather finish out this journey without any further rainstorms.
[Bilbo settled by the fire again, wet blanket draped around him.]
Though the force of this storm makes me worry a bit.
/makes shit up for a happy ending~
[Thorin, ever the optimist, informs the halfling. Hopefully he was wrong. He hoped he was wrong, honestly. Rain was fine and all, just not for traveling. Not one bit.]
If it passes by morning we shall be in luck, but it will still make travel difficult. The ground will be muddy, our pace will be slowed.
[Said with some annoyance. Ah well, they weren't in a hurry per se. Heading to the Shire, Thorin himself coming with the hobbit to make sure he arrived there in one piece and safely. Also he wished to see it again once more. It was best the dwarf did not stay in Erebor for long periods of time, especially not around that treasure hoard.
So he stayed in the Blue Mountains, helping those that still felt it their home, occasionally visiting the halfing, or Bilbo visiting him. They were much closer than if Thorin were still at the lonely mountain after all. Though he did make that trip to see his nephews and Balin. His sister as well, as she had gone to be with her sons. Fili so far was a young king, but he was doing well, especially with Balin there as council. Dwalin had gone with Thorin, staying with his 'king'. It was enough for Thorin that his home was once again ruled by dwarves and that he could go and see it if he wished.]
If we are not lucky the rain may flood the stream we must cross later tomorrow, it will set us back even more.
Yesgood. Happy endings ftw <3
[That was one thing he was determined to break the dwarf of. He was always looking at the bleak side of things and frankly Bilbo wasn't going to put up with it any longer.
But, hey, at least it wasn't dragons and wars. Just a rainstorm.]
Hopefully not by too much, though. A little mud shouldn't cause us too much trouble. I worry more about you in those conditions than myself.
[After all, as a hobbit, he was a lot more use to that sort of thing.
There was a large part of Bilbo that was proud of Thorin for the choices the other had made in regards to the mountain, proud and relieved that the 'king' had opted to return to the Blue Mountains and look over things there. It made Bilbo worry less; for he had found himself constantly worrying about the dwarf since well before the final battle outside of Erebor.
It definitely made his travels more interesting, having a companion.]
Again with the lack of optimism. Thorin, you really need to work on that, my friend. Even if the stream floods, we'll find a way.
always my fav
[The dwarf speaks with a tone that could be seen as chiding, but that's just Thorin for you. Though that second comment does have Thorin giving Bilbo quite the look. Really, little hobbit? Thorin is quite well traveled of the world, since the loss of Erebor when he was but a youth, he is not any normal dwarf who merely lived most of his life in a mountain and nothing else.
He has done much traveling through his years, he knows much of mud. Thank you very much.]
Worry not, I may not be a hobbit, but I am still sturdy against a spot of poor weather.

[There's was a matter-of-fact tone to Bilbo's voice as he spoke, giving the other a look that said 'Don't argue, I'm right'. Sure, maybe he himself had been a bit of a pessimist at one point but he'd gotten better! His time with the dwarves had taught him to try and see things with a bit more of an open mind.
Okay, well, specifically Fili, Kili and Bofur. Those three could drip optimism when they wanted to.
The hobbit shifted, finally finding a somewhat comfortable spot to lay but it really wasn't doing much for warmth.]
Let's hope you are. I'd rather not lose you to a rush of rain.
[His lips twitch as he says it and, despite the slight tremor going through him every now and then, he's quite pleased with his current situation.]
