[ back in the day when stiles would, for some reason or another, contact derek, he'd feel anxious and less that happy about the teen seeking him out. it would happen most of the time just as something bad was about to happen, and that shit would hit the fan in massive proportions. but that was back then. nowadays, he's learned that not everything has to end in bloodshed and tears ( alright, so that's a little dramatic ) -- in arguing and death threats between them, and given the chance, humoring the teen proves to be almost enjoyable.
